Abstract:
E-learning systems are increasingly used by education institutions to support their academic activities. However, use of the internet in the system exposes information to security threats. This paper discusses the information security threats as a challenge to e-learning. An online survey was conducted to review the e-learning practitioners’ perception toward information security threats. 48 respondents with IT and non IT background participated the survey. The e-learning users agreed that there are security threats in e-learning and good security management in e-learning is important in securing the e-learning environment.
