Abstract:
The rapid advancement of technology has rendered Learning Management Systems (LMS) indispensable in higher education. Serving as a comprehensive platform, the LMS facilitates educational interactions between educators and learners in the context of remote instruction. This study sought to examine the impact of Learning Management Systems (LMS) interface design on students' engagement and academic success through a systematic literature review. Employing the PRISMA technique to ensure the inclusion of high-quality evidence relevant to education and academics, 22 papers were meticulously selected for this investigation. The findings reveal that, overall, the interface design of Learning Management Systems (LMS) positively influenced students' academic success and fostered a favorable perception of LMS implementation in educational settings. These insights provide valuable considerations for both LMS and its interface design. Educators and instructional designers are encouraged to incorporate the results of this study into their practices when utilizing LMS to enhance the educational process. Additionally, this study lays the groundwork for future exploration and application in the dynamic field of online education.
