Abstract:
In education the use of artificial intelligence enables transformation, facilitates the learning personalization through automated assessments, supports decision making and promotes accessibility, while maintaining a balance with human interaction. Teachers must retain the main role in guiding and supporting students in their learning.

A good pedagogical process means Trust and Respect. The teacher-student relationship is essential in fostering lifelong learning; many pedagogical approaches seek to bring integrity to the learning process by emphasizing the use of technology to a considerable extent. Technology must be used at a beneficial and appropriate level, considering the effects of all factors. Excessive use can undermine the issue of trust, with negative and unethical impact on education.

AI and learning complement each other and can be integrated in several steps: going through the results on AI performance in learning, experience gained through the use of AI-based tools and platforms, testing technologies and scenarios, conducting ethical, social and pedagogical analyses. AI integration can be achieved through: chatbots, virtual assistants, data analysis systems, educational games, machine translation and interpretation systems and can contribute to: personalization, time saving, immediate feedback, accessibility; but also it can undermine trust and have harmful effects: high costs, dependence on technology, errors, lack of human interaction. AI-based technologies enhance learning experiences, but they need careful selection and evaluation. Their selection must consider learning objectives, learner preferences and needs, available data and resources, expected outcomes and benefits, needing to align technologies with organizational goals, values and culture, degree of automation, data analysis, adaptability, ethical, social and educational aspects.

The use of Al in e-learning is constantly evolving (assisted content generation, use of enriched content: simulations, case studies, use cases, game-based learning, VR/AR); there is the problem of identifying the risks, assessing the level of stress, the attention span to which the students are subjected and highlighting the measures to help them. Errors and limitations can cause moral damage, with ethical implications in temporal, experiential, correlational dimensions. The excess of knowledge in the algorithmic society brings ethical problematization, the society of artificial intelligence is not inevitable but it must represent the individuals' choices.

The paper is structured in sections that present:
1) training delivered using current technologies;
2) types of apps used in education (educational apps, tools and platforms);
3) benefits, challenges and risks of AI-based technology-assisted learning; and
4) artificial intelligence techniques for education.

The study shows that AI-based technologies can enrich the education by increasing quality and saving time; improving and developing AI applications is recommended, mentioning the possible changes in the educational environment and the social impact of the transition to the digital society, which can be achieved by creating algorithms, improving communication between platforms and advanced tools and systems, provided that responsible and ethical use is ensured.
