Abstract:
In Romania, digitization is an important topic in the current context, aiming to ensure competitiveness on the market and acquire operational efficiency, so for SMEs the challenges encountered in the digital optimization process are commensurate.

The training of managers with new skills must consider the processes of strategic planning, organizational transformation, critical thinking, team development and communication, conflict resolution, reflection processes and personal development, aiming to provide a complete, correct and coherent vision of participative leadership, strategic management, planning and facilitation as a team work method. Skills increasing directly influences the performance and profitability of companies, but also the retention of specialists in organizations.

The managers training must include experiencing, learning and understanding: the need for change practice of new approaches and perspectives; the creation of favorable environments for innovation; the business holistic approach; the correct planning and formulation of strategies; the formation of an entrepreneurial, managerial and technical thinking; building a framework for effective decision making, communication, planning and problems solving; developing the necessary skills to implement decisions and strategies.

Theoretical knowledge mastering is essential for problems solving, but it is necessary to practice the theoretical skills acquired by resolving as many problems / case studies as possible to cover possible situations that may appear during the daily activity.

Case studies provide an insight into how an organization works, beyond simple accounting reports, which turns management into a 'computer game' that requires increased skills. The understanding of management is obtained through thorough study of business and knowledge, consideration of all situations that can encourage creativity. Case studies cover the context and development of the organization; product, customer and technology; competitors; operations and control; strategic segmentation; sales and marketing; financial management; human resources management; strategic perspectives, considering factors that impact the performance. The business analysis aims to scan and evaluate the economic, technical, political, social, and environmental factors that can affect the business strategy. As the business environment evolves, the analysis model can be improved by adding all the factors considered relevant in order to build an effective model.

In practical problems it is difficult to provide exact values for the parameters, the uncertain information being fuzzy or stochastic. Fuzzy arithmetic is an useful tool for solving problems with uncertain terms, which will lead to triple the storage space of the characteristics matrix. Attributes are given in the form of linguistic representation and are automatically transformed into attributes with triangular fuzzy number expression, the transformation taking into account the meaning of each attribute, for the current problem to be solved. Solving of the problem involves using methods adapted to this type of problem. The use of mathematical modeling brings many benefits. The article analyzes the specific features of strategic management, the analysis techniques, methods and studies used, and presents the solution of a management problem regarding the transport service.
