Abstract:
The coronavirus crisis not only affected the education of pupils and students at all levels of education, but also affected teachers and school leaders. The need for rapid and effective coordination to ensure distance learning was a challenge for school management that required problem-solving in various areas. Teachers needed to improve digital competences, including the use of online learning platforms, to support students in learning, but also to help them cope with periods without social ties and contacts in the classroom. These requirements were not only a pressure on the professional growth of teachers, but also pointed to the need for personal development of all school actors involved in education. Global trends and digitalisation suggest that schools at all levels are likely to need to continue to address the quality of education and digital transformation in order to prepare their graduates for success in the 21st century. Universities and institutions that support teachers and school leaders in professional development face an ambitious goal - to support teachers and leaders in personal development to be able to effectively manage school transformation and have the necessary leadership competencies to support the involvement of colleagues in school action and professional development. communities. As part of the national project IT Academy - Education for the 21st Century, clubs for digital coordinators have been set up to support various areas, including personal development, leadership competencies and building professional communities. The work presents various approaches and their contribution to the support of school leaders in the field of personal development, including leadership competencies, experience with the support and requirements of school leaders.
