Abstract:
The challenges facing education today are not so much curricula issues as they are leadership issues. The corporate world emphasizes results as does the education system. Accountability, closing the achievement gap, development, and professional advancement are dependent upon student achievement and results.
This presentation will focus on the leadership skills/expertise needed in order for the school system to be a successful enterprise. Building a high performing administrative team, using results to redesign/enhance the system, systemic change, financial acumen, strategic emphases, and intentional planning will be addressed using case studies, trends and current research driven best practices.
The expertise in Business and the expertise of pedagogy/Education come together to form a new paradigm utilizing the best practices of both fields.
