Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to present the main conclusions of the application of Project Based Learning in the field of university education. Project Based Learning is a methodology that consists of proposing to students the elaboration of a project in which they acquire the contents proposed in a specific didactic unit or a subject as a whole. Unlike traditional teaching and learning processes in which the teacher is a mere transmitter of knowledge to a student body that receives it passively, in project-based learning the teacher becomes a guide who presents throughout the course the activities or tasks that make up the entire project, giving students some flexibility to build the path they deem best suited for the achievement of the final project. This methodology has been applied in the subjects of Economics of the European Union corresponding to the third year of the degree in Economics at the University of Almeria, as well as in the subject of Introduction to Economics in the first year of the degree in Law. The general results of the implementation of these activities show that students acquire to a greater degree the competencies, attitudes and aptitudes that are the object of the teaching planning of the subject, although there are certain aspects such as timing or evaluation in which changes must be made for future applications of this methodology. Keywords:
