Abstract:
On all levels of education, together with teaching traditional subjects, special attention should be paid to integrating global skills in instruction. The goal remains consistent: nurturing generations equipped with innovative, critical-thinking mindsets. But today’s fast-moving society brought the need to acquire new skills to meet the requirements of future society and ensure a sustainably developing country, devoid of poverty, inequality, illiteracy, and, lack of empathy. Developing critical skills in students is one of the most important challenges of the modern education system. The integration of technology creates a dynamic and interactive classroom experience that stimulates critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the mechanisms that facilitate the development of critical thinking skills in students through the use of digital technologies in Georgian context. The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of practical research conducted in two stages: the diagnosis stage and the therapy stage. For the implementation of the intervention, we decided to apply the double diamond approach to push students to be actively involved in the discussion and lead them to find the problem, explore it deeply, and work out all the possible solutions to it. The main finding is that these methods have enhanced students’ cooperation, critical thinking, and digital skills. Embracing digital tools and interconnected learning spaces not only enables coordination for knowledge sharing but also augments learning experiences and communication skills within classrooms.
