Abstract:
The article has been developed within the framework of the fundamental and applied research project “Transformation of Educational Value for Cultural and Economic Growth of Social Community” with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The objective of the project is to study the impact of educational value on the growth of Latvian society in socio-economic and cultural context, assessing the social return of the population for economic development and achieving a higher quality of life, ensuring investment in human capital productivity in the regional context of Latvia.

The aim of the article is to analyze the views of different social groups on higher education as a value and its impact on the well-being of the society. The project conducted a survey, where one of the sections obtained empirical data on how different social groups evaluate higher education and its impact on the country's economic growth and well-being in general, as well as the impact of higher education on the well-being and social status of each individual. The survey was conducted at the beginning of 2022 in Latvia, the survey data with 95% probability represent the general population (Raosoft Samle size) and SPSS platform has been used for processing and interpretation of the survey data.
