Abstract:
Since the global covid pandemic, the shape of traditional education has changed. From one day to the next, most schools in Europe and beyond have closed to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the population. Schools and other educational institutions, especially teachers and students, had to start communicating not only through communication platforms but also through social networks. From the traditional education model, teaching has thus moved to cyberspace, and teachers started teaching online, whether synchronously or asynchronously.
The article is a preliminary research determining how and through which online communication platforms or social networks within the framework of online distance teaching did teachers communicate with their pupils. We focused on the legal age limit for setting up accounts on such platforms or social networks in the Czech Republic and on how and whether prevention against possible risks and safe behavior in cyberspace during online education were ensured.
