Abstract:
The Russo-South Caucasian relations starting from the XIX century up till now carries a problematic character. Nowadays, the ineffective and non-systematic methods of approach in the Social and Humanities Sciences to the conflicts itself and to the attempts of regulation of the conflicts makes it difficult to come up with the regulatory strategies, and thus the problem becomes more complicated in character and the current Russian actions in the region is a good example of that.

The paper covers an analysis of :
• The geopolitical balance of power in the South Caucasus;
• The revelation of the Ethnic conflicts in wake of historical development;
• The analysis of the problems causing the ethnic conflicts in the region;
• The analysis of the possible inner stability mechanism;

Research related to the topic focuses on:
• An analysis and exact evaluations of the geopolitical issues in the South Caucasus;
• Clearly defined issues related to the regulation of ethnic conflicts and their inner characteristics;
• A clear cut picture of balance of power in the South Caucasus in order to see define the problematic geopolitical climate of the region;

Results of the research by this work paper enables us:
• To make changes in the Teaching of the issues related Russo-South Caucasus Relations in the Higher Educational Institutions Programs;
• To strengthen the element of realistic evaluation of Russo-South Caucasus Relations;
• To understand the causes of the ethnic conflicts in the region;

Recommendation:
Taking into consideration a clear need to have a re-defined approach to the teaching of the Russo-South Caucasus Relations to the future generations, it is necessary to incorporate the research results in the Higher Educational Programs.
