Abstract:
Russian higher education being integrated into European education assumes a two-level system of higher education namely bachelor and master programs. Master level is a logical continuation of education after receiving a bachelor degree. The study of French as a specialty language begins in bachelor level.

The French language course helps to form students' professional competence in the disciplines of the specialty being studied and provides students with basic scientific concepts in various fields of knowledge in French, with the corresponding terminology of the regulatory documents of the French speaking countries and international documents in French.

Interlinguistic communication is an integral component of professional scientific activity, which is enshrined in the state educational standard of the Russian Federation. Professionally Teaching a foreign language for specific purposes is of particular importance, it is explained by the future profession need.

Various two-year master programs of the Foreign Languages Departments of the Peoples Friendship University of Russia have the goal to train higher education graduates namely bachelors or specialists who have an intention to receive in-depth training in the program with mandatory studying a foreign language.

It is necessary to take into consideration the linguistic and professional components of the foreign language training. In the master program the foreign language for academic purposes should be of primary importance, because it develops the language and communicative competences in the academic area. Language training for academic purposes and scientific communication assumes the skills of communication with a scientific style of speech. Finally it is realized in writing and delivering a master thesis in French. Thus, the Master program creates the conditions to train high-level specialists who have the competence of professional communication in a foreign-language. Master thesis is a form of final qualifying work of higher professional education. Preparation and delivery of the master thesis is the final stage of the program of higher education at the level of "Master".

The students who study at the PFUR must demonstrate their knowledge not only of scientific literature on the chosen specialty, the ability to solve specific tasks related to professional activity, the skills of using modern methods and technologies, creative abilities and communicative competences in both native and foreign languages.

The master thesis is an independent logically completed scientific research, carried out under the supervision of a research consultant and consultants in the foreign language.

Preparation for the delivery of the master thesis assumes a number of stages: writing scientific reports, speaking at the conferences in a foreign language, participating in round tables on topical research issues, participating in scientific seminars, publishing scientific articles in a foreign language in scientific collections and journals.

In accordance with the requirements of the PFUR foreign languages departments, the delivery of master theses is conducted in a foreign language. A candidate, not less than one month before the delivery, must present the speech in writing to the instructor-consultant in a foreign language. A master who successfully delivered a thesis in a foreign language receives a second diploma - a diploma of foreign language interpreter.
