Abstract:
Research has shown that the paradigm of approaches to institutional education has changed over the last ten years. In addition to university (encyclopedic) education, current university students also require contact with practice. Teaching practical subjects at a technical university requires, in addition to theoretical teaching also practical exercises in organizations. During practical teaching, students have the opportunity to see and experience the real environment of business practice. The Covid-19 pandemic brought restrictions that limited the teaching process and at the same time made it impossible to implement practical exercises for students in organizations. Therefore, it became a challenge for teachers how to bring a real production process to the university grounds. The main goal of the contribution is to present the results of active learning in the teaching of Production Management through the XP game. The contribution will compare teaching methods with the possibility of practical teaching and without the possibility of practical teaching. As part of the analysis of the current state, a qualitative analysis was carried out with educators covering selected subjects. The obtained results can be used to improve the teaching of managerial subjects.
