Pivotal transformations with socio-cultural, socio-economic, socio-political aspects put high demand in vocational training of future professionals who ‘in future career’ must be able to make managerial decisions, creatively find different effective ways that are stipulated by objective and subjective factors, and can meet challenges of the global world. Within “science-education-innovation” triad, reassessing of a system of values of each individual, social groups and a society as a whole is taking place. The authors of this paper believe that knowledge, information, and experience are the fundamental basis for the development of any system that pursues effective implication of existing knowledge and creating new one in various spheres of activity. The paper attempts to reveal essential characteristics of learners’ understanding of knowledge base as a factor that entails their readiness to the future professional activity. The authors try to find out learners’ understanding an interrelation between knowledge base and their academic and research activity, and how this understanding increases the level of awareness of value-oriented motivation of learners’ and their aspiration to achieve the goals set in their studying process.
The methodologies of this paper are based on analyzing theoretical basis on ‘knowledge base’, and then present interpretation of this concept. On the following step the authors try to find out how ‘knowledge base’ becomes functional as a key factor in activating learners’ learning activity. The second stage of the research is based on learners’ and teachers’ interview and questionnaire that help reveal objective truth concerning interrelation of ‘knowledge base’ and learning activity. The findings of theoretical studies and result of analysis of the interview and questionnaire are correlated, and presented as a finding of this paper. As, the authors strongly believe that understanding of knowledge base in achieving successful professional socialization plays a significant role in the course of formation of a creatively thinking specialist in the terms of competitive labor market environment.
