Abstract:
With the advent of the information age, a transformation of education modernization driven by informatization and vigorously realizing the transformation of education informatization has become the trend of world education development. The integration of digital resources and foreign language classroom teaching strengthens and optimizes the function and status of foreign language teaching, making foreign language classroom activities more autonomous, communicative, and collaborative, higher requirements. The basic quality of teachers has become the key to reforming foreign language teaching and improving the quality of foreign language teaching in the information age. The purpose of this paper is to explore the necessary teaching ability of foreign language teachers at the universities under the background of digital education.

The task of this article is to take universities in China and Russia as examples, to describe the current situation and existing problems of teaching ability training of foreign language teachers in universities in these two countries, to summarize the basic status and objective problems of the digital application of foreign language teaching in two countries at the present stage, and to discuss new issues. Under the background of the times, the severe challenges faced by the professional development of foreign language teachers in colleges and universities and the main ways of teacher development.

Based on theoretical research and reference to a large amount of literature, this paper discusses the composition of teachers' teaching ability. Data is collected by means of questionnaire survey, and the digital professional ability of Chinese and Russian foreign language teachers is analyzed. It also conducts a preliminary research on the strategies for the development of teachers' information-based teaching ability.

The research results are of great significance to the cultivation of foreign language teachers' teaching ability, the improvement of teaching quality and the cultivation of outstanding talents in colleges and universities.
