Abstract:
The workers, whether employed or unemployed, have three important needs (García del Dujo and Martín, 2004; Guerrero, 2005; Padilla, 2001; Suárez, 2004; etc.): (a) maintaining employability, remain in the labor market (b) continuous training throughout life, enabling him to maintain that employability, and (c) the need to position themselves in a better place in the working market, and in turn, to articulate the diverse professional needs, that is, to develop and manage their professional project-essential.
Given these requirements would be appropriate to propose an Integrated Model of Information and Vocational Guidance to convey to all potentially interested groups, throughout all stages of life, and especially during the period of occupation, employment information and support in the design and development of their careers.
The present paper analyzes how existing services in the Autonomous Region of Galicia, satisfy the needs of potential users. It's about getting an assessment about the basic principles in providing counseling services for employment established by CEFECOP (2006). To this end, information was collected through a questionnaire, which was covered in eight associates of the Galician Service Employment for thirty-seven technicians and thirty-one service users.
