Abstract:
This study paper set the goal to study the relationship between the work environment and organizational culture in a Mexican school according to the Competing Values Framework (CVF). The research took as its starting point the results of a previous work of Hernandez-Sampieri (2008), who chose such a model in order to begin exploring the link between the two constructs. This study applied a survey instrument to measure organizational climate factors and to characterize the organizational culture profile of the school. The organizational climate and culture factors were: employee welfare, autonomy, integration, involvement, supervisor support, emphasis on training, ethics, centralization, complexity, strain and stress, control, power, governance, innovation and flexibility, reflexivity, technology, clarity of goals, effort, quality and performance feedback.

Responses to the survey were obtained from the collaborators of the organization including teachers and administrative and service staff. The results showed a good organizational climate and a balanced organizational culture according to the Competing Values Framework (CVF).
