Abstract:
The project ARC+D - Architecture Representation and Communication + Digital wishes to address the different communication needs of a collaborative work in the market of Creative Industries, Environment and Spatial Planning, Cultural and Tourism and the Arts on University Education, supported by the World Wide Web (www).

ARC+D proposes a tool capable of supporting necessary communication for collaborative work, allowing its structure, interactive representation promotion and dissemination of various contents.

Proposes a working tool web-based, able to provide answers and support different strategies of communication and collaborative work, and allowing the structuring, interactive representation, promotion and dissemination of various contents targeted at these markets: Architecture and Urban Planning, Design, and University Education on the Arts.

In terms of teaching the ARC+D project will focus on University Education on the Arts and Architecture, with special attention to requirements for Communication within these areas.
In the current context of teaching, the technological aspects play an increasing role and most importantly, are increasingly used in the academic environment of web-based tools that can facilitate and promote communication between different actors in the process of teaching.

To undertake collaborative work in the teaching of architecture and art was identified by the working group 4 project areas; • Document Management • Task Management and Planning • Communication Management • Construction Management and e-portfolios, which do not find an answer on other support, should be the added value of the project ARC + D and be a differentiation factor.

• Document Management - The diversity of formats to be shared within the team, the need to view this document by several people simultaneously and record notes on these documents, which can consist of several types of information (. Jpg,. Gif,. Png) films / animations (. fla avi,. mov) technical drawings (. dwf) and others, and the documents organization, are of major importance and constitute a key task within the project.
• Task Management and Planning - Planning and management tasks requires a great accuracy by the project team and by coordinator. The timing and overall planning of each project is usually a task of the project coordinator (usually the teacher).
• Communication Management - Management of communication within a working group proves to be a very sensitive issue, because it may depend on the proper functioning of the group and implementation of tasks.
• Construction and Management of e-portfolios - In the teaching of architecture and arts, exercises / tasks usually consist of drawings and a written narrative / descriptive, that need of a joint to constitute a whole, the possibility to manage and build e-portfolios reveals a fundamental task for collaborative work in teaching of Architecture and Arts.

ARC Digital should provide a platform for communication and collaborative work, that can be integrated with Moodle and other e-learning systems through an API.
