Abstract:
In our digitalized society, technology is an important factor for academic and professional development. Specifically for professional in design areas, such as graphic, digital, fashion, interiors and industrial designers or as architects, photographers; it is essential to show their knowledge, skills and talents through online tools or platforms. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to present a massive open online course (MOOC) to train graphic, digital, fashion, interiors and industrial designers, architects and photographers in the creation of their digital design portfolio. This includes the design and programming of the digital portfolio; the optimization for a diversity of devices; and the generation of a positioning strategy and social media interaction.

In order to gather information to structure the MOOC, a survey was carried out with design students and professionals. Findings were used to develop the course outline and materials, which will include a variety of multimedia tools and content aiming to train participants in the design of their own digital design portfolio.

The MOOC is in the design phase, and it will be launched in the MOOC platform Miríada X in December 2015.
