Abstract:
Urban mobility problems are a major challenge facing cities around the world. These problems can include traffic congestion, air pollution, lack of access to public transportation, and traffic accidents. To address these challenges, it is necessary to conduct studies that understand the causes and effects of urban mobility problems, and that generate creative and effective solutions. In the search for addressing these challenges there are some urban mobility studies that can be classified as follows. Diagnostic studies, these studies focus on identifying and understanding the causes and effects of urban mobility problems, in this stage research methods such as surveys, interviews, observation and data analysis can be used for this purpose. Evaluation studies, these studies focus on evaluating the effectiveness of solutions to urban mobility problems, for this purpose the research methods that can be used are cost-benefit analysis, environmental impact studies and user satisfaction surveys. Planning studies, these are the most significant to focus on developing solutions and strategies to improve urban mobility, some research methods that can be used are transportation network analysis, traffic modeling and simulation. The objective of this work is to use creative methods to create solutions to face urban mobility problems such as, brainstorming, mental maps and design thinking. The methodology for this work consisted of making posters using the methods mentioned above tackling urban mobility problems identify by the fifth semester students in their own context, including possible solutions and their impact on the implementation. The results show that traffic congestion is the problem that most students live in their context and the use of different ways of mobility such as walking of cycling are the most selected ones. Keywords:
