The scientific work is devoted to the experimental study that aims to generalize the operational experience in the whole region. The paper deals with the modern learning activity characteristics based on its formation development. The authors conduct a comparative analysis of the key factors influencing the learning activity motivation with first-year and second-year university students on the basis of Kazan Federal University, Naberezhnye Chelny Institute and Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University in the Republic of Tatarstan (the Russian Federation). Such statistical methods as factor and cluster analysis proved to be the most suitable for grouping the indicators with the group of respondents, which showed the prevalence of internal type motivation. It is the necessary factor of organizing the internally harmonious learning activity, which helps to implement the whole process. The received data let us prove the idea that the future professional activity planning is the most effective motive. Besides, the prevalence of external motives puts a learning subject aside, since it becomes only the means of achieving a personally significant external motive. The experimental work results add weight to the concept of investigation. In addition, using cluster analysis methods for the results’ processing let us conclude that factor and cluster analysis results mostly coincide, which indicates validity of the methods used. The study under discussion deals with the possibility of implementation the individual approach to teaching and education, aimed at increasing professional knowledge. The article presents some practical ideas according to their efficiency. Teachers, researchers and post-graduate students can successfully apply the conclusions. Keywords:
