Abstract:
The most important factor for the health of a well-functioning enterprise is lean production minimizing losses in all production or non-production processes. To achieve the company's goals of producing top quality, and meeting customer needs at minimum cost, it is almost essential to eliminate activities in the process flow that do not add value to the product and are identified by the customer as wasteful. There are methods that define the processes and techniques that are used in product development, especially in the automotive industry. Using these, the aim is to determine the requirements for quality plans so that they provide the quality that the customer expects. Quality is to be included from the very beginning of the planning. Students encounter the individual steps of planning, design and development of a product or process during their studies at university but only deal with partial process tasks. This document describes the different procedures how students should proceed to acquire skills regarding product quality planning, how to ensure easier communication with all members of the project team and at the same time to be able to complete the necessary steps to verify the process capability in the planned time. Important is the interconnectedness with practice that can be gained from the collaboration of automotive industry and university personnel, resulting in the transfer of experience in solving case studies during the development of the final thesis. The research solution as a collaboration between the university and the practitioner aims to focus on raising the level of the pedagogical process of universities with the support of developed video sequences, animations, and images of practical studies to be added to the pedagogical process in the university environment. Project Planning is taught mainly in a technical way within the subject " Production and Project planning of production systems", where we are able to provide technical specialists in the teaching staff. We found that we should also focus on aspects related to general capacity planning, financial and personnel resources, and feasibility studies because these are inherent in the whole project management. This can be done within the cooperation of different University study branches.
