Abstract:
The new technologies are good for professors and students, for a qualifier teaching and investigation. They are present in the preparation of the classes, in the creation and use of databases, and other sources of information (Internet). Also, the new technologies incorporated to the use of audiovisual methods in the classroom, as the video and the presentations in Flash and Power Point, they can make more agile and realists the explanations.
On the other hand, with these techniques the students perceive that their learning process is more realistic and more complex. In our communication we will meditate about the experience that we have carried out, with the students of an Official Master of the University King Juan Carlos. We have selected an audiovisual material, with which to explain the diversity of the constitutional and social Laws in connection with the work of the minors in the world. With this material it is looked for the students to acquire an overall view of this reality. It is also wanted to present, how the work of the children impacts inside the phenomenon of the globalization, and of the exchanges of people and things, in a changing world.
With this experience it is looked for getting different objectives, and then the conclusions will be extracted. In the first place, to value the form in which the students look for outstanding information for their own formation and learning, among the multitude of data that gives the audiovisual proposed material. Inside the frame of the European Space of Superior Education, the students have to decide what knowledge and abilities use for the treatment of this information. If they lack that information they should look for themselves the form of acquiring it and, only in the case of being impossible to access, they will appeal the tutor so that helps them. The professor will supervise the selection and the use of this knowledge and abilities.
On the other hand, the students should be positioned before the problem described in the audiovisual material, and before the topics that arise in the debate. They will make it with their active participation, and with the emission of diverse opinions, so much in an oral way as then written, in the report that they will have to elaborate.
This way, the students get used to work and to meditate, so much individually as in group. It is valued the initiative, the participation and the leadership inside their oratorical facet.
The professor will value the solutions and the conclusions of the students, before the challenges and dilemmas that have arisen. Also, the students will value the relevancy of the practice proposal openly, inside their formative process, and they will formulate how many suggestions and critics estimate opportune, in relation to the methodology and to the audiovisual proposed material.
In last place, we will carry out an evaluation of the pedagogical method used. On one hand, the students will value, through an anonymous survey, their adaptation and the grade of their satisfaction about the proposed methodology. These data, in chart form, will be exposed and commented.
The professor will also evaluate the practice carried out, for what will keep in mind, in the first place, the complexity of the technique audiovisual proposal; the work carried out by the students, and the knowledge, technical and developed abilities and incorporate to the student acquired through the application of this pedagogic technique.
