Abstract:
In the Degrees of Engineering, laboratory teaching practices provide a different point of view to conventional classes and help to improve some transversal competences. In this work, a kit for the realization of a laboratory practice for the subject 'Thermal Engineering' of the Degree in Mechanical Engineering is designed. The kit consists of a digital magnifying glass with a specific support to observe different parts of a fuel injection system and to prepare a report on the state of conservation of these parts. The support was constructed and designed so that it allows to observe the pieces with the same angle and inclination, allowing the repetitiveness of the results with the different groups of students.
The results of the survey made to the students, after the completion of the practice, show that students understand better the operation of a fuel injection system and are able to make a diagnosis of the state of it. This result would have been impossible through the use of the master lesson. Keywords:
