Abstract:
Traditionally the application of the matricial methodologies in the structures calculation has been difficult applying. The theoretical methods explained were complicated to put in practice by carrying a lot of time the calculations to develop. This article presents an educational method designed to understand in a simple form, the stiffness structural analysis theory of three-dimensional framed structures. The method presents the use combined of a mathematical program in which the theory is implemented (MATHCAD) and commercial software of analysis by finite elements (ANSYS) in which the same model of the structure is made in practice way. An example is presented and this may be used as template to solve different problems in which some interaction by the student is expected. This interaction contributes to the comprehension of the theory and helps the student to learn the theoretical basic concepts in less time. With the commercial software the model is solved to illustrate the coincidence of results, being understood in this way the hypothesis used for the resolution of the problem.
