Abstract:

The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia offers a number of Erasmus placements that a few years ago was about one hundred, but that in recent years has slightly increased. From the data that we analyze on this paper we can draw different conclusions: 1) The number of applications to study Erasmus have skyrocketed in recent years. In fact, until 5-6 years ago the supply exceeded the demand, thus remaining vacant seats, while in recent years many students have not been able to access the program. 2) The number of students going to foreign universities that require prior knowledge of a language other than English is very limited and has not increased in recent years. In fact they are the only places where vacancies continue to occur. 3) Until recently, universities in the countries of Eastern Europe were marginal destination. However, there is an increasing demand for these placements. The demand for these destinations started with Warsaw, followed by the rest of destinations in Poland and the Czech Republic. There has also been an increasing demand for Romania placements in the recent years. Romania was in fact a destination to which female students were reluctant until the present, but in this academic year several girls have chosen this destination.
