Abstract:
Tools based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are an important support in the teaching-learning process. Nowadays, it is really common to use different devices such as smartphones, social networks or internet connection to communicate instantaneously and to obtain information about interesting news anywhere and at any time. Therefore, it is recommended the use of new technologies in the classroom to update teaching methodologies and to motivate students to achieve their objectives.
Thus, a teaching innovation project has been designed to apply an interactive polling system in the Mechanical Engineering Degree of the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering of Ciudad Real (ETSII-UCLM). This polling tool allows to receive the student’s answers to the questions of the professor in real time through their smartphones and to create reports and graphs with the results registered after lesson. This project aims to increase the level of attention of the students and identify the level of their understanding. Keywords:
