Abstract:
Public higher education institutions in Mexico have evolved in educational models because of the social, cultural, economic and technological influences. Higher education is responsible for providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary in order to achieve satisfactory performance in organizations. In order to provide education according to the competency teaching model is necessary to increase the use of technology in teaching classes and practice of students. Financial management for these technological resources is facing great difficulties due to different issues. This latter limit their easy acquisition and affect the education of students. This paper discusses the identification of financial management strategies that are performed in higher education institutions, based on a case study. Furthermore, an analysis in order to establish an adequate system of strategies for attracting financial resources to increase economic capacity and use it to purchase technology is presented.
