Abstract:
The World Café dynamics arising in enterprise environments is gaining strength within the educational environment for the benefits that produces in the construction of a shared learning, for its versatility to adapt into different areas of knowledge and learning environments, as well as for its ability to the promotion and development of personal, academic, emotional and professional competences. In fact, the principles of this methodological strategy are based on the dialogic and cooperative learning theories.
Throughout this paper, we will analyze the potentialities of the World Café as a learning promoting methodology as well as essential competences in the XXI century teaching profile among students currently enrolled in the degree in Primary Education Teaching (K-12). In addition, we will present the experience of implementing the dynamic World Café as a methodological strategy in the development of mentoring group with grade alumni.
