Abstract:
Student´s mobility at the Faculty of Sciences involves several programs: national mobility (S.I.C.U.E.-SENECA), European mobility (LLP/ ERASMUS) and non-European mobility. All of these programs are coordinated from the Faculty of Sciences in collaboration with the mobility office. The exchange of students is always possible if i) the students meet the requirements (B1 level of the modern language spoken at the host institution, and specific requirements of each program) and ii) a bilateral agreement has been previously establish between two institutions.
The bilateral agreement summarizes the number of students and the list of the degrees to be involved in mobility per year and the duration of the stay at the host institution. Before the student’s departure, a learning agreement must be presented to the administration at home institution: this form contains the list of subjects to study in the host institution and the number of ETCS per subject. The bilateral agreement is reviewed by both home and host mobility coordinators.
Recently, IAESTE mobility has also been included. IAESTE is an international association for exchange of students for technical experience at companies all over around the world. This mobility program is mainly coordinated by members of the association, but the Faculty contributes to the organization in terms of candidate’s pre-selection and technical support.
The number of students from the Faculty of Sciences participating in mobility programs has increased during the last few years, both national and international institutions. It is interesting to note the high level of achievement of the students. Our students not only have studied general subjects belonging to official degrees but also have carried out research projects at laboratories. Thanks to it, several partner institutions have considered the possibility to extend the collaboration to academic activities at Master level as well as to research. Keywords:
