Abstract:
In an increasingly global and competitive scenario, universities must promote the integration of students into the labor market through high quality training that facilitates the development of skills and competencies. The university should be involved with labor market demands, so it must provide graduates who demonstrate a great capacity to adapt to very diverse changes and the ability to face complex situations.
At all levels (national, regional and local), more and more initiatives leading to innovation, creation of self-employment, promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives or research studies are being supported and developed. All these profiles facilitate the inclusion of students in an increasingly competitive and complex job market.
This work shows the experiences of a group of university professors who facilitate collaboration between companies and the university from two different points of view: the external collaborator who belongs to the world of industry and the industrial doctorate programs.
In the first case, the acquired knowledge of an entrepreneur who has experience in both private business and public administration is provided to students. In the second case, the possibility of continuing postgraduate studies with the development of a doctoral thesis, particularly in the industrial field is provided to the students in the classroom.
The results obtained are positive since competences such as innovation and entrepreneurship are worked on in the classroom, both closely linked to the promotion of professional skills as well as initiation to research and continuous training in order to start doctoral studies.
The subjects studied are postgraduate subjects, so the students are very sensitive and concerned about their professional opportunities. They are extremely interested in how to undertake themselves, innovate and seek a professional opportunity to get their first job in some cases or continue their studies to develop a researcher profile and thus be able to access a more qualified occupation. Keywords:
