Abstract:
Higher education is changing at a very fast rate and the current university professor has not had time to think about what can provide the new technologies in the field of education.

The different technologies have been coming one after the other very quickly. Teachers, in addition to mastering the subject they teach (required training) and to know how to teach it (enough training), they must be formed in the field of ICT and apply them to university teaching.

The institution, UPV, through the Institute of Education Sciences, offers a series of courses/workshops for both pedagogical training and e-learning tools to teachers. However, the transfer of this knowledge gained to teaching practice is not always immediate and requires dedication and effort by the teacher. Given that attending these courses is voluntary, and in many cases, training in these areas is a self-taught learning, this transfer takes place as the teacher learns by trial and error method.

The vision of a university professor is presented in this paper based on own experiences as a user of ICT and in particular of the UPV PoliformaT platform. This indispensable tool today offers many possibilities, from the basic function of holding the notes subject to the conduct of examinations. It also contributes significantly to autonomous student learning and without any doubt also influences the teacher-student relationship.
The objective of this paper is to contribute own experiences of using PoliformaT to make the reader reflect on this subject.
