Abstract:
Campus Andaluz Virtual (CAV) is a pioneer experience of globalization and mobility of the university teaching-learning which bets for an innovative methodology by integrating telematic resources. It has been performed by all the Andalusian Public Universities into the project “Universidad Digital”, with the aim of developing a common work environment where students can take free configuration subjects. By means of the Communication and Information Technologies (CIT) and, specifically, the ILIAS learning management used by the University of Jaén, the learning of this subject is completely virtual and Internet is used for the theory notes, activities, exercises, tutorials and exams.
From the starting of the CAV in the academic year 2006/2007, the Department of Statistics and Operations Research of the University of Jaén has taken part in its formative offer with the subject entitled “Descriptive Statistics”.
In this paper, our learning experience in the CAV with the subject “Descriptive Statistics” is analyzed by using the results obtained in the quality assessment test completed by the students of the last academic year 2008/2009.Keywords:
