Abstract:
Our working group carries out research into new models of evaluation within the Educational Innovation Project “Generic Continuous Evaluation Models” directed by Dr. Sanjiv Prashar. This project forms part of the fourth edition of the Innovation in Education Program of the University Rey Juan Carlos.

Our aim is to encourage the students to take a more active part in the learning process. In order to achiev this goal we have decided to introduce a system of continuous evaluation in the Civil Law course in the degree of Law at the University Rey Juan Carlos.

1. During the teaching term the students will sit two exams which will contribute 20% to final grade. In this way we intend to monitor the progression of the students and to oblige them to maintain their studies up to date.
2. Students will consider different areas of Civil Law. This will be conducted in small groups with a tutor, who will also grade the activity. This experience will contribute 20% to the final grade.
3. On finalizing the course, the students will sit a final exam covering all areas of Civil Law. This exam will contribute the remaining 60% of the final grade.
