Abstract:
Context:
One challenge is common to all European countries Educational System: the prevention early school leaving. Teachers are suffering from a lack of skills and competences, and consequently of motivation in understanding and dealing with pupils at risk of early school leaving. Teachers often are not able to identify with the necessary anticipation the manifesting of the risk factors leading to the early school leaving and the necessary initiatives to tackle the problem.

Objectives:
In order to give an effective answer to the needs of the teachers outlined above, the Stay@School project, financed by the Life Long Learning Programme - Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation Programme, developed the School Inclusion web portal providing teachers with the necessary skills and tools to prevent students’ drop out and prevent early school leaving.

Target Groups:
The target groups of the Stay@School project activities are school teachers, school directors and everyone interested in the early school leaving issue.
The conference participants will have the opportunity to:
- get the information about all the educational resources hosted on the School Inclusion Portal
to access a database of reviews of publication on the issue of early school leaving
- access the description of teachers experiences on the issue of early school leaving
- access a database of training initiatives for teachers on the issue of early school leaving
- enter in a network of subject interested in the issue of early school leaving

Activities:
Creation of School Network
The objective of this activity is to create a network of schools and teachers interested in the prevention of early school leaving.

Implementation of the School Inclusion Portal:
The aim of this activity is to offer school teachers a:
- multilingual online training contents on the issue of early school leaving
- collection of reviews on training for teachers on the topic of the prevention of early school leaving
- collection of experiences of teachers in the prevention of early school leaving
- database of publications on the topic of early school leaving

Testing:
The school teachers involved in the project will participate in the testing of the portal and in particular the training course contained therein The teachers will acquire the skills to:
- identify students at risk of early school leaving
- effectively communicate with the students at risk of early school leaving
- deal with students at risk of early school leaving
- assess the learning results of students at risk of early school leaving

Development of educational materials
As a result of the testing activity the teachers will create education materials to prevent and tackle the problem of early school leaving

Main Results:
The main results include:
- a network of schools and teachers interested in the prevention of early school leaving
- online training courses on the prevention of early school leaving
- reviews of training initiatives for teachers on the topic of the prevention of early school leaving
- collection of experiences of teachers in the prevention of early school leaving
- database of publications on the topic of early school leaving
- the acquisition by the teachers of the necessary skills to prevent early school leaving
