Abstract:
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) considers the implementation of new technologies as one of the fundamental methodological supports in university studies. Postgraduate studies must be responsive to this implementation. Translation studies not only must include the use of new technologies as a logical result of the practice of translation itself in working conditions, but also as a way to exponentially improve the educational experience by embedding new resources and tools in the teachers’ methodological structure. This study aims to present the “Master’s Degree in Specialized Translation: Spanish and German” of the Spanish Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (ISTRAD), an innovative project which came into existence in 2000 and is co-led by the Menéndez Pelayo International University since 2013, as well as its evolution along the past 17 years. Concretely, this conference shows the impact new technologies have had on the online learning program of said degree, both on the methodological aspect of curriculum design and the experience of the educational community involved.
