Abstract:
The digital revolution of education was accentuated by the need but also by the advantages of remote communication (also valid in the post-pandemic context). The digital transformation is changing the entire society today, and the effects on education are beneficial both for teachers and students. These benefits are associated with "helping" the learning process through a personalized approach towards students, as well as improving access to information. However, the authenticity and origin of a content posted online is not always guaranteed. Moreover, it is imperative to respect the principle of non-repudiation, which can be achieved by certifying the content posted online. This paper presents aspects of online content authentication based on qualified electronic signature. It also shows the results of a study on the educational relevance of the use of digital signatures for the purpose of certifying certain content posted/available online. The opinions of teachers and students from two universities in Romania, from the South-West Oltenia region, are presented as results of this investigation. The purpose of this paper is to propose and present a conceptual model regarding online-available content certification.
