Abstract:
Quality in education is the result between learning and the demands, goals, standards and requirements set by individuals, business, organizations, local community, governments and society. Therefore, when measuring quality in education it must be taken in to account tangible and intangible dimensions. The multiple dimensions of education makes necessary the investigation of those factors that can have an impact on its results and quality, such as organizational factor. Process of quality can explain higher degrees of academic performance in Higher Education. In this research the relational coordination model has been applied to prove higher levels of quality in Higher Education. According to the model, organizations can achieve better results by putting in practice mechanisms to reach an efficient communication and the sharing of knowledge and goals into an environment of mutual respect. We have surveyed students from Universidad Técnica de Ambato, on these particular issues. By using a Structural Equation Model it has been measured the level of relational coordination at Universidad Técnica de Ambato and its impact on quality. A deep revision of the organization of the role of University departments is recommended. Educational institutions must promote mutual respect values and create a space of psychological safety, as employees and students need it for finding the best ways of communicating and relating.
