Abstract:
The Master's Degree in Construction Engineering at the University of the Basque Country (UPV /EHU) aims to provide skills development that facilitate employability in construction sector. Master’s curriculum incorporates competences connected to Sustainable Development Goals, some of them related to the rehabilitation of buildings, avoiding new resources consumption linked to new constructions.

Within the subject of Pathology and Rehabilitation Techniques, an in-depth study is conducted on building damages and their possible therapeutics to address their rehabilitation and recover full functionality.

However, despite the good acceptance of the method by the students, a new practical session has been added in the last two years. The teachers go with each group of students for the practical report. Then teachers guide students in the identification of construction pathologies and possible intervention techniques, taking into account the criteria of conservation of historical heritage and sustainable development.

Throughout this research work, the proposed methodology is analyzed, the advantages and disadvantages are discussed and the benefits will be clarified.
