Abstract:
Simultaneously with the implementation of the degrees in Spain, universities have made efforts to improve the teaching-learning process whose outcome could be measured by an improvement in academic performance. Referred improvements are located in tools such as Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, Cooperative Learning, e-learning, etc. All of them help to make learning more student-centred.
The main purpose of present research is to achieve a comparative analysis between the time involvements of students and the academic performance. Here it will be analyzed the degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), in the engineering faculty of Bilbao. There are already enough experiences since the introduction of grades and to assess this relationship in the degree, and check whether the students’ involvements are in line with the expectations from our university organizations (high degree educational system).
Throughout this research work, apart from the various collected data by subjects, the here developed methodology will be analyzed in order to establish any kind of correlations. They also will allow proposing actions that promoting a clear improvement in the teaching-learning process, as in present research work will be clarified. Keywords:
