Abstract:
In this paper we present some important aspects of the teaching career mentoring activity resulting from comparative approaches but especially from the needs analysis we conducted after conducting research that included a significant number of subjects (5000 teachers in education pre-university). The main research method was the self-administered questionnaire survey through the Question Pro platform.
Among the pre-university teachers, there is interest in both continuing vocational training in general and in the field of educational mentoring. There are some significant differences in terms of reporting to educational mentoring depending on the level of development in the teaching career, and the offer of continuing education can be adapted according to such differences. The area of motivations considered important for the individual interest to participate in continuing education programs in the field of mentoring is relatively diverse, but the training of skills and the acquisition of knowledge are the most important motivating factors. Keywords:
