Abstract:
In this paper we present some relevant theoretical and practical aspects regarding the school-family educational partnership and we emphasize to what extent it contributes to the formation and development of students' personality, with the aim of optimal social integration. The school-family partnership through the unity of action, through the concordance between the specific means of educational intervention represents an important factor in the formation process of the young generations. Through the school-family educational partnership, parents are encouraged to actively participate in the planning and development of educational programs for children. The main forms of organization and development of the school-family educational partnership are: meetings with parents, volunteering, carrying out optional activities. The project “Parents' School - Do you know what (your) child is doing?”, developed and implemented in three schools in Sibiu demonstrates the impact that school-family partnership activity can generate, in the process of rebalancing the parent-child relationship, by improving the communication and valorization of their cognitive component, in order to ensure a consistent dimension of the process of evolution and future becoming of the young generations.
