Abstract:
In Spain, Master in Secondary Education Teacher training for those who want to become a foreign language teacher brings the opportunity to enrich theoretical and didactic knowledge with the intercultural competence, recently encouraged by the European Union. European citizens should be able, not only to communicate in at least one foreign language from the UE, but also to develop this competence. In this new educational context, novel French teachers have a new challenge: to incorporate this new competence in teaching and evaluating processes. In this sense, intercultural can become a practical tool in classroom to motivate Secondary Education students in their interest for foreign languages. Thereby, our aim is to offer keys to create materials in French as a foreign language classroom in Secondary Education, to teach, enhance and evaluate the intercultural competence acquisition, always integrated with the linguistic and communicative aspects from the curriculum.
