Abstract:
In the Covid era, data, information, knowledge and skills are essential in every industry. Digital and managerial competencies are at the forefront of this digital age. Demands of digital as well as managerial skills are growing every day. The individual skills of managers, in many cases, represent a competitive advantage over other companies. Therefore, developing managerial and digital competencies represent one of the main conditions for a successful construction company. Paper discusses the issue of developing managerial and digital competencies through ICT in the construction industry. The main objective of the research and this paper is to confirm the statement that information and communication technology support better management in the construction industry and that ICT develops managerial and digital competencies, it means that ICT improve their managerial and digital skills. The research was based on a questionnaire survey, where respondents quantified the individual skills acquired during the study and practice. Thus, the research was about quantifying the level of digital and managerial skills. The research was carried out on the Slovak construction market. The research involved construction companies on behalf of investors, contractors, sub-contractors and designers. The research sample consisted of 55 respondents.Keywords:
