Abstract:
Teaching information systems in the field of the construction industry is very important. Digital technologies and information systems are an effective tool for managing construction projects. The economic agenda is an important part of the investment and construction process. Education in this area is very important. Due to the current need and adaptation of the teaching process in a distance form, it is necessary to implement some effective tools of communication and information exchange into this teaching process as well. The paper discusses the issue of teaching the course Economic Information Systems at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Košice in a distance form. The case study describes communication tools, the method of exchanging information and documents, as well as the method and form of assignments on a given course. Within the results part, the study also describes the reactions and feedback of students to the process. The main goal of the research is to map the course of teaching a given course and to define the basic tools for communication and exchange of information, which can be applied to other courses at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
