Abstract:
Digital competencies in the field of education are among the important attributes for a better educational process. The use of digital technologies can be the first step towards the transformation of the education system in the faculties and the field of construction. Analysis of the use level of information and communication technologies is the first step to building an advanced digital learning system. Distance education at faculties focused on the field of civil engineering brings several challenges. The research discusses the issue of digital competencies and ICT competencies of employees of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Košice during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main goal of the research is to compare the digital and ICT competencies of employees before and during the pandemic period at The Faculty of Civil Engineering in Košice. The research results are described by descriptive statistics. Several qualitative and quantitative statistical methods were used for research purposes.
