Abstract:
Exploring the crucial relationship between early childhood education and subsequent academic accomplishments of first-grade students, the article offers a comprehensive analysis of the fundamental role played by preschool education in fostering well-rounded personality development and foundational academic skills. The study underscores that preschool education extends beyond mere academic readiness, encompassing intellectual, physical, social, and emotional domains. Highlighting the multifaceted development facilitated by preschool education, the research assesses the alignment between its objectives and broader educational goals. It identifies core skills and competencies crucial for academic excellence, including cognitive abilities, speech development, and socio-emotional skills. The article delves into specific educational objectives addressed by preschool education, such as communication skills, socialization, perceptual abilities, motor skills, cognitive development, creativity, independence, and fostering a positive attitude toward learning. Utilizing a comprehensive research methodology involving questionnaire surveys, online inquiries, and in-depth interviews, the study presents research findings. The data analysis provides key insights leading to significant recommendations. The article aims to provide valuable insights into the substantial role of preschool education in shaping the academic performance and overall development of first-grade students. It emphasizes the necessity for a consistent educational continuum, starting with preschool education to prepare children for a successful journey through the formal education system.
