Abstract:
Modern changes in the education system and new requirements for university graduates entail the need to revise the conceptual, content and organizational components of the educational process.

Modernization of the content of education in Russia at the present stage is connected with innovative processes in the organization of foreign language teaching. The introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process is interconnected with the improvement of the content and methods of education in the process of foreign language teaching in relation to the needs of modern life. Working with computer technologies the role of the teacher changes, the main task of which is to support and direct the development of the personality of students, their creative search. Relations with students are built on the principles of cooperation and joint creativity.

Analysis of the activities of Russian universities shows that today they are betting on the principle of variability, which contributes to the construction of the pedagogical process for any educational model. In this article the authors suggest analyzing the possibilities of using information technologies (based on the use of blogs) in creating an information educational environment in a language university. The situation related to teaching Spanish as a foreign language at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of the Kazan Federal University is examined. The educational possibilities of applying blogs in the lessons of the Spanish language are revealed and commented, the types of blogs and their structure are studied, the positive and doubtful moments of the results are presented.
