Abstract:
Healthcare is one of the most important systems, the non-functioning of which causes a serious impact on the health and life of the population. In the Slovak Republic, healthcare is one of the critical infrastructure sectors and its importance and significance are confirmed by the current Covid-19 epidemic, which has changed the lives and ways of thinking of almost all of humanity in a dramatically short time. It showed how important healthcare is to society as a whole and, paradoxically, pointed to healthcare-related spending as an investment in a country's prosperity and competitiveness in the global world, and not just as a necessary cost factor. Although the movement of people in many healthcare facilities is limited during the current COVID-19 pandemic, there are also facilities where this movement cannot be ruled out or curtailed. An example is hospitals of supraregional importance, which provide outpatient and inpatient and preventive care. Many people visit such a facility on a daily basis in order to obtain the necessary health care, and it is not possible to rule out the possible infectivity of some people moving on the premises of the facility. Monitoring the movement of people moving within the medical facility can be an important tool in finding contacts for confirmed cases.
The aim of the project is to analyze the legal possibilities, economic, health and safety impacts of monitoring people and contacts in medical facilities and then create and apply a system for monitoring and tracking people and their contacts in medical facilities, with subsequent possible use in publicly accessible areas, respectively. Areas where the movement of large numbers of people is expected.
In the context of this article, we want to present the various phases of the project, their implementation and benefits in relation to the protection of employees of medical facilities. Keywords:
