Abstract:
Transport of goods brings the risk of traffic accidents. Especially when it comes to the transport of dangerous goods, the risk of fire, explosion, chemical burns, poisoning or environmental damage increases. In order to reduce this risk in the transport of hazardous substances it must be fulfilled a number of technical, operational, traffic and safety conditions and requirements.

These all contribute to the reduction of hazards and risks. In order to avoid the occurrence of an emergency event or in the case of its occurrence, it is critical to have well-trained staff with practical experience and knowledge of what to do in emergency situation.

The article describes the current state of training and education of drivers transporting dangerous substances in compliance with current legislation. The analysis of the current state education and workplace training drivers was done by questionnaire and personal survey. In case of the questionnaire, we focused on randomly selected shipping companies. Based on the results of the personal survey, the proposal of measures to improve the current situation in the education and workplace training, was designed.
